Successfully completed a project (in pathology Department) at THAKURPUKUR CANCER HOSPITAL AND CANCER RESEARCH WELFARE CENTRE, CALCUTTA .

Project Title: Worked on CANCER MARKERS.
Description: Worked with different cancer markers like AFP,CEA. PSA and others for detection of different types of cancers and also the benign diseases where there will be elevation in the amount of these markers.
Successfully performed a Short term research project (In Biological Sciences Division.) at THE INDIAN STATISTICAL INSTITUTE , KOLKATA .
Duration: 45 days.( 4th May 2007 to 19th June 2007)
Brief description: Performed COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ISOENZYMES FROM EX SITU AND IN SITU SOURCES OF VARIOUS MANGROVE PLANTS from Sunderbans delta region successfully under guidance of Dr. Sauren Das ( Associate scientist).
Project Title: CHARACTERISATION AND DOWN STREAM PROCESSING OF ANTIBIOTICS FROM BACTERIAL STRAIN
Description: Worked under guidance of Dr. Asit Ranjan Ghosh , SBCBE , VIT. The objective of our project was to estimate the amount of antibiotics produced by a given bacterial strain, its batch culturing and purification using TLC, HPLC.
AWARDS RECIEVED:
Awarded THIRD PRIZE in an paper presentation on the topic “Proteomic Analysis of Human Breast carcinoma.” in a national symposium on “Recent Trends in Protein Science” organized jointly by VIT UNIVERSITY.
Stood First in all India essay competition organized by chronicle on “ Indian mission to moon, a cost benefit analysis” in January 2004.
